The Greater Melton Chamber of Commerce (GMCC) is a
not-for-profit organisation run by volunteers from local
businesses.
Our aim is to help our members from
various business backgrounds within the Melton Shire area,
to be more successful and sustainable in their own
businesses through better business connections; advocacy;
marketplace knowledge and training.
The main goals of the GMCC are:
• Provide exciting networking
opportunities for its members • Promote business
activities, initiatives and events that support Melton-based
businesses, including co-operative marketing, promotions
etc. • Act as a representative body for local businesses
when dealing with local, state and federal government
(including lobbying) • Integrate businesses from across
the entire Melton Shire, including: Melton township,
Caroline Springs, Rockbank, Diggers Rest, Hillside, Toolern
and beyond… • Facilitate training, information, mentoring
and referrals for members (including professional
development, information sharing etc.)
The Executive Committee meet
bi-monthly to plan and organise networking and training
events and to discuss issues relating to the Melton Shire
business community.
Over the next 12 months the committee
will be working on behalf of the members to create a
referral program and member loyalty cards and to hold a
minimum of 6 networking and training events in both Caroline
Springs and Melton communities.
The Committee have the full support
of the Melton Council and Counsellors to ensure that our
business community are well connected with Council and with
each other.
